Powdered Green Tea Preparation
The beautiful thing about preparing our powdered Green Tea is the ease and convenience. It easily mixes well in hot or cold water – without the need for steeping.
To make a normal size cup of tea you’ll only need 1/4 teaspoon. If you’re using our specially designed bottle with our convenient ’shaker style top’ – you simply turn the bottle upside down and give it 1-2 shakes to get the desired amount.
Naturally, you are always free to make your tea a little stronger or weaker depending on the taste you prefer. If your wondering which tea is right for your tastes please refer to our green tea product descriptions page
HOT TEA TIP: We recommend that you do NOT use boiling water when making tea. There are several reasons for this recommendation.
The first reason is excessive heat can damage the nutritional goodness of the tea itself. The next reason is because the longer water is boiled – the more it depletes the natural oxygen found in the water itself (and you know the body thrives on oxygen).
COLD TEA TIP: For a water bottle (16-24 oz in size) 1/2 – 1 teaspoon or 3-4 shakes from the tea shaker bottle is recommended. Whether using a water bottle or a glass you should stir or shake well to assist the tea to dissolve.
If you prefer using a glass either stir well or consider using a Martini Shaker or even a Blender.
Many people enjoy adding a little Honey or Agave (from cactus) for sweetness and others also enjoy adding a touch of lemon juice as well.
With a little experimentation you’ll quickly decide exactly how you prepare your tea to your personal liking.
Depending on the tea and the amount you are using; it also helps to re-stir or shake (if cold) the tea from time to time as you drink it.
Cheers!
